In the Northeast, several key pollinators have experienced drastic declines, which are attributed to some interacting factors, including pathogens, habitat loss and degradation, exposure to harmful chemicals, and increasingly extreme weather patterns. Our product resonates with customers who have tried it or would like to try and raise a small plant, with people open to trying new things and seeking authentic experiences in their everyday lives.
We love to see our product fits into our sustainable principle and has a post-planting function rather than be thrown away. So we thought of a wooden box that could be used in other ways after planting (e.g., become an organizer, pen holder, tray, etc.). After several rounds of iteration and experiments, the final product includes our story, a 5-step using instructions, a space for gift notes, and our website QR code.

LadyMarry, called “the GitHub for weddings”, is a simple and interactive tool for wedding planning. They crowd-source and learn all "dumped" data from newlyweds to provide personalized and in-time recommendations for couples who are busy while still wanting to DIY a wedding. These designs were my works when I interned at LadyMarry, engaging with real user-oriented event planning.

Hand drawing, Construction Methods
This is a special project for me because it was my first time doing the whole design-to-construction process and I experienced something interesting beyond paper design, such as making nests, pruning plants, and designing joints. We needed to modify our design depending on the actual condition progress, available materials, and the timeline, which was challenging but exciting for the whole team.
This competition aimed at practicing the comprehensive skills of students - from conceptual design to real construction. Our team proceeded with the theme "Floating Garden" with dream and innocence, purposed to perceive the world via children's eyes. The nests above and the landscape on the ground made a comparison between ideal and reality, reminding people to value the goodness in their hearts.
